Dear sportsmen, sportswomen, and billard fans,

Sports, Excitement, Non-stop Battle for the Titles – can only be found from 24. April to 03 May 2015 at the „Stahlpalast“ in Brandenburg an der Havel.

Nearly 500 players will compete, under the watchful eyes of international referees, for titles and medals in all disciplines. Not only in match billard play, but also on the „small tables“. I wish you all the best of luck, and hope that you are able to reach your goals and objectives.

An event of such grand proportions, can only be organized with close partnership, and support, from the city and valued sponsors. Brandenburg on the Havel, has once again demonstrated that it is truly a „sports friendly“ city with much to offer. We would like to thank our main patron, the Mayor of Brandenburg, Dr. Dietlind Tiemann, who has supported this event with great personal commitment, as well as Mr. Gunter Baaske (SPD), Brandenburg’s Minister of Education, Youth and Sport, who has also provided much greatly appreciated support.

With Gabriels Biljarts tables, Simonis cloth, and Aramith Billiard balls, this year’s competitors will have the best conditions, allowing for maximum performance. We would like to thank our sports partners for their generous support, and especially the Mittelbrandenburgische Sparkasse, as well. Without their help, the championship would not be possible.

The Stahlpalst in the Axxon Hotel provides an outstanding tournament location, with an unforgettable atmosphere.

Kozoom will be live streaming all the action on the 20 billiard tables, around the world – so the excitement in Brandenburg on the Havel, can be experienced anywhere on the globe. The Touch magazine team will be responsible for spreading the word via print media.

More than 100 referees and personal, from several European nations, will ensure a fair and enjoyable tournament for all. I would also like to thank all of you, for volunteering your expertise and integrity.

I’m looking forward to seeing all of our supporters, guests, and spectators in Brandenburg. Together, we will experience 10 days of excitement, titles, and the best performances from the diverse world of billiard sports.

Dear sportsmen, sportswomen, and billard fans,

Two years ago, in Brandenburg on the Havel, a new era began in the over 50-year history of the Confédération Européenne de Billard (CEB): For the first time, the men and women from all Carom disciplines, and all ages, met in the „Steel Palace“ for a common European Championship. The great success of this new form of European Championship, has shown that the European championship concept implemented in Famagusta (Cyprus) at the CEB-congress in 2011, is valid and sustainable.

After the successful premiere, the second edition of this major international event in billiards is set for 24.04. – 05.03.2015. For many months, head organizer, Helga Blawid, has been working diligently with her team, on the preparation for the European Championship.

As always, for the Brandenburg billard enthusiasts, it is not only about providing optimal competition conditions and fair decisions, for the european elite players, on their way to winning the coveted title. As we know, a successful Championship always requires the appropriate organization and conditions. The Federal Garden Show, which is being held this year in our city, as well as in four additional locations in the region, offers ideal possibilities.

Our guests, from near and far, have not only the opportunity to experience biliards at the highest level. They will also feel welcome in a colorful and thriving city with hospitable and open-minded people , and an interntional flair.

Many thanks to all who contribute their time and resources to the preparation and organization of the upcoming 2015 championship, as well as to all sponsors, contributors and facilitators for this important sporting event. Best of luck to all this year’s participants, and let’s hope that the preparation and organization goes smoothly. And of course, best wishes to all of our guests – may you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Brandenburg on the Havel River.
